Work Development

My proposal based on the subject of war, I want to create a collage based on the imagery that comes to most peoples minds when they think of war. The horror and perhaps the necessary challenge that comes with it.

Each of these collages inspires me by giving the use of colour, shape and message, though they're all unique and different they all have the universal collage look whilst keeping  separate and to the point(if there is one)

This mood board is full of Inspiration, information and imagery that has helped me develop my ideas and methods to use when creating my own collage.

This mood board shows several different techniques I'd like to try and incorporate in my own work, from photo merging to basic photo arranging to create an image.

Further mood board research for development of my ideas and imagery to use to and develop with to help me plan the collage.

Some of the resources that I had gathered and used to help create my collages. Photo's, books, sketches and various news and magazine cut-outs were all used along with various images I had collected in digital format.

 These images are essentially stencil ount-lines of one of my final collages, after completing the collage I wanted to see how it'd look in one base colour format so I set about inking it up see the result, I choose these two colours so that it'd appeal to a mass audience.

Photshop Tutorials and Tasks

In each lesson we followed tutorials and guides to help give us develop our skills on Photoshop. We learnt to adjust colour, contrast and levels and blending pictures together using masks and the various blending modes.

 This is the nature themed collage research we a group made before we went out to gather objects from Ashton Court to create for our own nature themed collage.

-->
This our final outcome for our nature themed collage, our primary theme was to create a mother nature like image. we decided to try and create the inside anatomy of a woman with using images for different parts of the anatomy.  We used blending tools and diffuse colours to create see-through like images and bright layers.
This collage was created by me and a Alex who decided to create a bird using various purple and pink colours with a darker shadow on the left to create a point of direction for light.
This project was based around duplication and texture additions.

The creation of the image was made by simple colouring, layering and textile backgrounds and then using blending tols to mix them all together.
